That was a beautiful tribute from your mom. We love her so much and miss our Pastor terribly, but with all of you that he's with our Savior.

I saw it live the night it was broadcast. It was a great speech. Give your mom a hug from all of us Ms out there!

Mrs Rogers has spoken the best sermon I have heard in years. Somehow, I am not a bit surprised. I am sad that I was not there to hear her in person. She said more things with less words than I can as a Pastor as well as better than most others I know could do.. I am convicted and uplifted at the same time. This Lady is truly a shining light to this convention and this country. I wonder if she would run for President of the SBC. I wonder if the good ol' boy system would allow that.
Also, I would like to have a copy of her whole thing on cd if possible. Is that a possibility?

Anonymous,

Thanks for the comments. The link is from sbc.net. I would think you could download it directly onto a CD, if not, try e-mailing someone there and asking.

Thank you so much for posting this. I love your parents. Second to my mom, I guess your mom is my greatest role model. Your dad still lives in our hearts.

Dear David, I love your Dad so much. I only discovered him after he had gone on to be with the Lord and actually it was after my own Dad went to be with Jesus. I tuned into to him on t.v and I cried ! Your Dad became choked up at the end of the message when he spoke of the reality of Jesus and how much he loved him. I was moved because next to my own Dad, I have never been so touched by a mans passion for his Lord as I was listening to him. His messages have coninued to minister to my aching heart in this time of seperation from Dad. I am overwhelmed by the love of Jesus EVERY time I listen to your Dad. He is so obviously a great man of God! Words can't express how he has touched my life and I have referred many others to his teachings. He is still being used of God even after his graduation! My sister was wandering in the wilderness for years and has entered in to Canaan through his powerful teachings.. God bless you and your family! You were blessed to have such a father on earth! In the love of our great God and Savior , Ruth Magin
